Cuttack’s Famous Bali Jatra

Bali Jatra (also spelled Bali Yatra) is one of the most famous festivals of Cuttack, Odisha. It celebrates the maritime glory of ancient Odisha, when traders (known as Sadhabas) sailed to Bali, Java, Sumatra, and Sri Lanka for trade.

When is it Celebrated?

Every year in November, during the Kartik Purnima (full moon of the Kartik month).

Mahanadi River Banks, Gadagadia Ghat, Cuttack, Odisha.

Commemorates Odisha’s ancient maritime history.
